Crafting in the Garden at Maggie’s Magic Garden

Green Girl Crafts had it’s first New York Crafting in the Garden Event! Celebrating the end of Climate Week NYC with a day of crafting with community at Maggie’s Magic Garden. Folks came from all over NYC to create together and enjoy the nature Maggie’s has to offer.

In addition to sharing the Magic of Maggie's Magic Garden, we asked attendees to sign a petition demanding the State of New York officially recognize Maggie's Magic Garden’s historic and ecological significance and declaring it a Historical Landmark. As adjoining lots and areas around the garden are being sold to make way for condos and housing, it impacts the square footage and ecological health of the garden

A Historical Landmark status implies legal protection that extends beyond the lifespan of an individual, safeguarding our beloved garden from any future development threats. Even if you were unable to attend, we ask for your support to continue the importance of saving Maggie’s Magic Garden.
